4th of July

We have made it a tradition for many years now to spend the 4th of July with our friends from Phoenix, Arizona and their parents Duke (deceased) and Gunnell who lives across the street. This year we bought a swimming pool just in time for their arrival, the kids had a blast swimming and afterwards we had a barbecue with steaks, hot dogs and hamburgers. As always the morning starts out with the Murray parade, the kids always come home with a huge sack of candy or should I say a sack of cavities. We finished our celebration with a stop for ice cream and headed to the Costco parking lot. This year may be the start of a new tradition, the fireworks were fabulous because you couldn't find a bad spot in that parking lot.
